After parking the Bantam in town near the Market Cross I went to do some shopping, only to return to find someone giving Little Willie a good look over! "That's the big one!" he said. "I had a D1 - what's this a 150?"
"No," I told him, "175 - it's a 1965 D7, registered in 1967."
"Why the delay in being registered?" he asked.
"I can't really say, can I?" I replied, "possibly the Jap bikes were beginning to become popular."
I then rode off and parked near Wymondham Abbey, where I went inside to let them have another small batch of my poetry books: Albie's Thoughts - A Poetic Journey Through The Seasons.
Later that morning, Brian, another friend of mine, rode round on his rather smart D3. It was a great pity I didn't have my camera on me, as I would have liked to have included a picture of his Bantam here - maybe next time!
