I had a good 'mardle' with the stationmaster and crossing keeper, and positioned my Bantam so as to get a good picture of the train when it arrived.
When the diesel-hauled train arrived it was headed by Class 47 584 Aldeburgh Festival, which will soon be going to the North Norfolk Railway, or so I was told.
Apparently, during June, July and August, the visiting steam loco will be Thompson Class B1 Mayflower No. 61306 in LNER Apple Green Livery. Almost enough to turn Little Willie and I into a couple of 'anoraks'? Maybe, but let's wait and see.
