I was standing there looking at the D1 frame he's working on for me when I noticed the front down-tube was out of true. He'd seen it as well, but didn't like to tell me! It will need checking and adjusting though, so I will take it to a place in Newton Flotman where they have a jig etc.
A tin of paint came today for the D1. This is much nearer the original colour of Mist Green, although the colour is Sage Green, and I'll try a test spray tomorrow to see how it goes. The paint came from Transtools Ltd, of Hunmanby, North Yorkshire, and cost £3.61 for a 400ml spray-can - plus postage of course.
Hopefully, after rubbing down the tank, spraying it Sage Green, I can then add the light yellow panels, and do a proper job! If I just left it, 'people-in-the-know' will spot it right away and tell me: "They weren't like that!"
