As you can see here, I also fitted a new end cover to the float chamber (and gasket), as the old cover was badly warped due to having been unevenly tightened over the years. Also, the 'Amal' wording now appears vertical, whereas on the old cover is was slanting to the left, or, as we say in Norfolk, on the 'huh'.
You may have noticed, on the upper picture, I've also fitted a handlebar end, adjustable mirror which is proving most useful, giving a fairly vibrationless view of other road-users through the blue haze! That usually keeps 'em back!
