So, I'm left with three options: (a) fit a replacement spoke (I had to cut out the rusted one) and turn a blind eye to any others, or, (b) strip off all the old paint, apply plenty of WD40 (and heat!), or, (c). cut out all the spokes, buy new and rebuild the wheel (as I had to do for both wheels on Little Willie).
As much as I'd like to get the Green Gremlin on the road quickly I feel my own safety is far more important - anyway, with winter fast approaching it's not the right time for my D1 to make its début, is it? Best to leave it until the spring, which gives me plenty of time to rebuild the wheel - I guess I'll make a start over Christmas.
